Festival

A Festival to Remember
During July of 2010, we hope to hold what will be a festival full of fun for everyone and memories to last a lifetime. Modeled after the festivals of Covington’s past, the festival will include carnival rides, food, a parade, fireworks, and much, much more. The festival will be held in the Covington Middle School lot, up Wright Street, and including downtown Covington. It will be a three day festival, starting on Friday and running through Sunday. The festival will feature 18 music acts on two stages, the Covington Outreach Association 5K run, a parade, and fireworks, a community church service and a pancake breakfast hosted by the Covington Fire Department. Of course the Covington-Newberry Historical Society will be hosting guests at the Museum and lending their insight into the history of Covington throughout the festival to help us remember why it is that we are celebrating. These are just a few of the items featured during the Covington 175th Anniversary Festival.

Festival dates - July 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2010.
